Slow afternoons where the dunes end
Scroll downHarbour House is a dark timber house in the dunes at the quiet end of a sheltered bay, with glass to the water. There are two guest rooms, a sitting room with a wood stove and a long breakfast table. Stay a few nights and let the days go slowly.

Up to four guests share the sitting room, the garden and the long table.
About the houseRooms
Two rooms,
one quiet house
Each room has a queen bed and its own bathroom: the Ocean Room in glass and timber over the dunes, the Garden Room in pale timber among the trees, with a door to its own deck. Breakfast is shared at the long table.
The coast
A coast to walk to,
not to drive to

The harbour,
three minutes away
Rowing boats lie on their lines by the old stone harbour wall, on water that stays calm when the wind turns. Go early, while the mist is still on the water, or late, when the low sun warms the stone.
Walk to the harbour
The headland,
twenty minutes uphill
The path leaves the far end of the beach and climbs through tussock and low heath to a bench with long views down the coast. It is an easy walk. Take a jumper.
