The house

By the bayFour guestsTwo rooms
Check datesHarbour House is a low, dark timber house in the dunes, at the quiet end of a sheltered bay. Inside it is warm timber, linen and wide glass, and a sandy path runs over the dune to the beach.

Architecture
Dark timber
on the dune
Dark timber boards and white framed windows look over the dune grass to the water, and a timber deck with a railing runs along the side of the house, out of the wind.

Interior
A sitting room
over the cove
The sitting room has a wall of glass onto the cove, two deep sofas and a small wood stove for cool nights. A linen daybed waits by the sea doors, and tea and coffee are there at any hour.

The beach below the house is a long curve of pale sand behind the dunes, with a low headland at its far end. It is quietest in the late afternoon, when the light turns gold.
The location
Between the harbour
and the headland
Everything here is close enough to walk to. Leave the car by the gate for your whole stay: the harbour, the beach, the bakery and the headland path are all reached on foot, along lanes and tracks with very little traffic.

- 6 minutes to the beach
- 12 minutes to the town
- 20 minutes to the headland path
Accommodation
Two rooms
to choose from
The Ocean Room looks over the dune grass to the sea through glass from floor to ceiling. The Garden Room sits among the trees on the land side, with a door to its own deck.
Explore the rooms
Mornings here start slowly: the sound of the water, coffee by the window and nowhere to be before the tide turns.
A stay includes breakfast each morning, fresh linen and towels, beach towels for the walk down, parking by the gate and wifi through the house.

There is usually a cake under the glass dome on the table, too. We keep the house simple and well looked after, so the time is yours.
