The Garden Room is on the quiet land side of the house, among the trees. A slatted timber bedhead runs the length of one wall, there is glass on two sides, and a glass door opens onto the room’s own deck.

Morning sun reaches the deck first; evenings are still and very quiet.

The glass door opens onto the deck, with two timber stools out under a twisted old gum. Beyond it the garden is left wild, with banksias in flower and tall gums that hold the morning mist.
